The Introduction Graphic

The Introduction Graphic, as we call it at LIGR, is a handy live graphic for a variety of reasons. It sets the scene for the upcoming match and shows the competition name, the venue, as well as the two teams playing. It also gives viewers a countdown to the scheduled start time of the game, as seen in the image above. On the LIGR.Live platform, when you create a game in the match list, the Introduction Graphic automatically pulls in the team, venue, and competition names, then automatically begins a countdown to the game’s scheduled start time.

The Introduction Graphic can be combined with an animated background image, which allows LIGR users to start their stream early. This enables broadcasters to test the feed and gives viewers who have tuned in early a visual countdown to the start of the game.

When to use the Introduction Graphic

The Introduction Graphic is traditionally used pre-game, at half-time, and post-game when the match is over. The current Match Score, the Live Game Clock and the Game Status – First Half, Second Half, or Extra Time – are shown as real-time graphics. This also allows the graphic to be deployed during breaks in play to inform fans on the status of the game.

This graphic can also be triggered in AUTO mode and fully configured in the match and competition settings on the LIGR.Live platform. For example, if you have set a 15-minute half-time period for soccer matches, the graphic will automatically display for 15 minutes and count down to the start of the second half.

Generating Revenue – The Introduction Graphic and Sponsors

The Introduction Graphic is the perfect live sports graphic for advertising sponsors. The LIGR.Live platform allows users to upload a variety of existing sponsor assets such as banner ads or logos. When the Introduction Graphic is deployed in AUTO mode, all the sponsor assets linked to the current broadcast are displayed in rotation throughout the game.

Check out the images below to see how different sized sponsors’ assets are displayed during the game.

As the Introduction Graphic includes the Match Score and Live Game Clock in front of a full-frame background graphic, it’s an excellent tool for giving your sponsors exposure throughout the game without interrupting the action. It can be shown frequently during sports like cricket, where there are many breaks in gameplay, and the commentators are discussing the game.
