GUS SEEBECK
DIRECTOR, CLUCH TV
“One thing’s for certain - there is no way we could do what we’re doing at the moment without LIGR. That’s just the reality of the way you’ve built it; it’s ideal and absolutely fit for our purpose. And I know that over time, more flexibility and integration will come. But for the moment, thinking of how we would do graphics across 50-60 single camera games in a six-hour period as easily and as cost-effectively as this, with this level of quality - it just wouldn’t be possible any other way.”
Cluch TV, a startup OTT live and on-demand streaming platform in Australia, targeting community sports, launched mid 2020, straight after Covid-19 shut the sporting world down.

The demand for sports and in particular live sports streams with crowds being limited, has been a fantastic launch pad for Cluch, with Founder Gus Seebeck making immediate inroads into the grassroots of Australian sports.
Cluch is already producing over 150 games per week live. In a very short amount of time, Cluch has made a name for itself with professional productions across all levels of sport, including the production of mid week highlights and talk shows across their social channels and their aggregated OTT platform.
Gus and his team have been vocal users of the LIGR.Live platform from day one, with upwards of 30 live score users within the Cluch LIGR account. Producing simultaneous games, professionally and without on-site hardware in a remote, cloud production environment has been a godsend for Gus and Cluch.TV.
Speaking about Cluch.TV’s workflow using LIGR.Live, Gus comments;
“With LIGR, I would say it’s about the scalability to do multiple games without requiring traditional production hardware on site. I don’t know of any other solution where you don’t need to run your feed through a laptop and then you add the graphics and then you stream it out. This typically requires a minimum of 2-3 production crew. The fact that you can do it remotely, including the ability to score games without actually being on site, keeps cost down and keeps efficiency high. I’ve personally scored a bunch of games from home myself to test it and with the right feed setup it works a treat.”
With the future of live streaming moving to the cloud, startup broadcasters like CluchTV are employing technologies that allow them to scale, and produce high volumes of quality and professional content across grassroots sports, allowing an aggregated audience monetisation opportunity.
Technology like LIGR.Live acts as not only a graphics tool, but a collaboration tool, allowing scorers, admins, users, off-site operators, commentators, sponsors and clubs and productions arms all to play in the same game, allowing a streamlined effortless and most importantly simple to use platform to get the result you require, without any of the traditional barriers to entry when it comes to live production.
As CluchTV continues to expand across sports and regions in Australia, LIGR looks forward to supporting Gus and his team by continued improvement and development of the LIGR platform to support Cluch’s requirements to be one of the preeminent grassroots sports broadcasters in Australia.
